SYRACUSE // ICA MOSCOW // APXIV
BASIN is an interactive show exploring sexuality, loneliness, and water in its many forms, proudly presented by Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts in partnership with APXIV.
Even if the event takes place in the APXIV artist-run space, the residents of it will not take part in it as artists. Instead of this they are going to act as mediators, providing students with freedom to work with the space and create their own collaborative statement.
Therefore, residents aim to share their experience of the self-organised structure with the students featuring works by Caleb Brigham, Catalina Giraldo, Doo Rim Kim, Nicky (Yilu Yang), Zoe Hannah Stern, Allison Werbicki, with the help of Gregory Mytelka - all students from the BFA and the MFA programs in film, illustration, art video and theatre studies of the Syracuse University, New York. Water, joy and drinks are provided!
This show is a part of Syracuse University Abroad program «Portfolio Moscow» is held every two years and taught by Professor Boryana Rossa.
